Velo — Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using Velo, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you may use Velo only with a parent or guardian's consent.
2. What Velo is (and isn't)
Velo is a software platform for tracking fitness and nutrition and for generating training and meal suggestions. Velo is not a healthcare provider, medical service, or licensed dietetic practice, and nothing in the app creates a doctor–patient or similar relationship.
3. Not medical advice
All content in Velo — workout programs, coaching messages, nutrition information, and AI-generated estimates — is informational only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a physician before starting any exercise or nutrition program, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are under 18.
4. Assumption of risk
Exercise carries an inherent risk of injury. By using Velo you acknowledge these risks and agree that you participate in any activity suggested by the app or by a coach at your own risk. Stop exercising and seek medical help if you feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort.
5. AI estimates
Nutrition values, calorie estimates, and AI-generated plans are produced by automated models and are estimates whose accuracy is not guaranteed. They are not dietary or medical advice and should not be relied on for medical decisions (for example, insulin dosing).
6. Coaches
Coaches on Velo are independent providers, not Velo employees or agents. Their programs, advice, messages, and interactions with trainees are their own responsibility. Velo does not verify coaching certifications or qualifications and is not liable for any outcome of a coaching relationship. Linking with a coach shares data as described in the Privacy Policy; you can revoke a coach's access at any time.
7. Your content and conduct
You keep ownership of what you log. You agree not to misuse the service — including attempting to access other users' data, uploading unlawful content, harassing other users or coaches, or reverse-engineering the service. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
8. Account termination
You can delete your account at any time in Settings, which permanently removes your personal data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
Velo is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Velo and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for personal injury arising from exercise or nutrition decisions, use of AI estimates, or coaching relationships. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Velo and its operator from claims arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your interactions with other users or coaches.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app; continuing to use Velo after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
